Chocolate Cake Recipe in English (2023)

Ingredients

To make this delicious chocolate cake you need:

• 2 cups of all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup of cocoa powder
• 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
• 1 teaspoon of baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon of salt
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup of vegetable oil
• 1 cup of sour cream
• 1/2 cup of white sugar
• 1/2 cup of brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
• 1 cup of hot water

Instructions

To make this delicious chocolate cake, start by preheating your oven to 350F (176C) and greasing a 9” (23 cm) round cake pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, sour cream, white sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Slowly add the hot water and mix until the batter is smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
